- All workshops will be held on Saturday 24 February
- Workshop attendance must be booked in advance via the online registration process
- Limited attendance USANZ workshops are only available to USANZ members who are fulltime delegates
- There is a limit of one workshop per delegate for limited number workshops; however, waitlists will be started in case there are seats left closer to the ASM. After the earlybird registration deadline (15 January 2018), if there are seats left in limited number workshops, these will be made available to other delegates.
RACS FSSE Course
Anyone who has not yet completed this mandatory course for Surgical Educators may do so on Friday 23 February at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre.

The Foundation Skills for Surgical Educators is an introductory course to expand knowledge and skills in surgical teaching and education. The aim of the course is to establish a basic standard expected of RACS surgical educators and will further knowledge in teaching and learning concepts. Participants will look at how these concepts can be applied into their own teaching context and will have the opportunity to reflect on their own personal strengths and weaknesses as an educator.
With the release of the RACS Action Plan: Building Respect and Improving Patient Safety, the Foundation Skills for Surgical Educators course is now mandatory for Surgeons who are involved in the training and assessment of RACS SET Trainees.
